Abstract:
This work describes dynamically enhanced illustration of geometric models. In order to support model annotations, queries are submitted to a search engine. These queries are build on the basis of existing labels in the illustration model. Any results retrieved from the search engine are to be evaluated for controlling the illustrative use of presentation variables. The basis for this result evaluation is mainly some structural information of the retrieved data. Based on the search result analysis, automatic parameterisation of the illustration is generated. Stylistic elements used for this purpose specifically include motion techniques and hybrid rendering styles. The use of multiple presentation techniques is temporally constrained to prevent cognitive overload.
