Abstract:
This paper presents a new approach to impressionist rendering. Generally, impressionist rendering is produced on a device at medium resolution. This paper presents the needs, the enhancements and the problems arising when implementing an efficient impressionist rendering with high resolution. A new physical model of painting was designed and its use as a filter has been implemented. These first results are given in this paper.
