Abstract:
Silhouettes play a critical role in non-photorealistic rendering. The effect of the NPR greatly depends on the silhouette performance. And it is also a key
technology for real-time NPR applications. This paper
introduces the most popular and latest techniques in
silhouette detection. We classify and analyze them, and
discuss them with the problem of visibility determination.
After analyze the advantage and disadvantage
of them, the working context of them is also
concluded.
