Abstract:
Last fall artist David Em was invited to try out Apple's secret new computer system for a week. His goal was to answer one question: Can we make art on the PC? The week-long project soon stretched out to several months. At the end of that time, Apple unveiled their new system (the Quadra series), and Em unveiled a series of startling computer paintings, providing that creating art on the PC was possible -- but with considerable effort and skill.
