As the new year is around the corner, I have moved the NPCG Library to a different server that is much faster. The site can now also
be accessed using https://www.npcglib.org. Currently the site is temporarily only accessible over
an SSL connection, but this will be rectified as soon as possible. There were no updates in the past few months, as my time did not allow it, but I plan to do
a large scale update soon, together with some changes on the backend and infrastracture. As I will have to shift through the recent NPR work, if you have
links (like always), send them to me. Best wishes for the new year.

There is a mistake in the ACM Digital Library regarding NPAR '06. Tobias Isenberg emailed me as I was adding some references on the system
and correctly pointed out that NPAR '06 is the "4th international symposium on Non-photorealistic animation and rendering" instead of the
erroneously "3rd international symposium on Non-photorealistic animation and rendering" description propagated in the ACM DL pages
here.
Make sure you use the correct numbering if you are referencing a paper, until it is fixed in the ACM Digital Library.

I have added a couple of papers [1], [2],
on robot painting systems. I found them interesting, since they are examples of how all these drawing and painting
algorithms can be put into practical use, beyond the screen and away from the keyboard. I managed to also add a few more references from 2005.
Permanent Linking I also want to point out that you should not link directly to the ugly URLs the system creates. In
a world that I would set out to code a similar engine with the experience of having this one completed I would have
used PermaLinks. Since there is no such
feature implemented right now. I added a permanent linking feature right on the type icon
(
)
that directly links you to a single item. This is the square little box that appears always on the left hand side of an entry's title.
You can be sure that those links will remain static, unless the entry is deleted from the system.
I was thinking to add another icon, like the
oogle one, but I favored the cryptic approach
that leaves the interface clean and minimal, let alone fast.
